General Yoga Class - suitable for beginners and improvers
Small friendly classes with exercises aiming to balance flexibility and strength, rounded off with a long relaxation.
We use a variety of blocks, bricks and belts to encourage safe stretching and improved alignment.
Equipment is provided, but if you would like to buy your own, advice can be given on what to buy and where to buy it.
The classes will be run as a drop-in class for now. Cost £7
“Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs” Course
This is a self-contained 12 week course, designed by Alison Trewhela and developed with funding from Arthritis UK.
It is a great course, giving a gentle entry into yoga for newcomers, but as it is quite educational in nature, it is also interesting for those who have done some yoga before, but want to understand better how to use yoga to help their back.
The course teaches four yoga sequences that can be safely practised at home as well as the principles of movement to help your back.
The course is in two six-week blocks, with a one or two week break in the middle.
Amanda will set a start date for the course when she has a minimum of three people definitely committed to attending.
